Welcome to my little corner of Cyber Space. This site is about nothing in particular and will be updated every "whenever I feel like it" (like most blogs out there).
The format/layout still isn't quite the way I want it, so I'll still be "tweaking" things from time-to-time, but I figured it's good enough to "officially" open. Besides, my friend Hcatty says I have to publish at least 5 words a month, now that I've told her I have a blog. Serves me right, I guess (hehehehe).
I'm still learning about HTML and CSS and all other other fun web-publishing topics (which I have found a pretty good web-site that has some tutorials and other stuff...it's over there ----> in the "links" area), so once I find out how to do some of the things I want to do, I will have to try and do them. I still want to add a few 'widgets', like a counter, a clock (or two), etc., but I did manage to add one - "Babel Fish" (over there ----> again).
Babel Fish is pretty cool - it lets you translate any text or web page from one of several selected languages to another (I think they have about 9 major languages they can translate to/from). It's also a reference from a well known Sci-Fi novel (do you know which one?). I thought about posting my first sentence or so in German, but then decided that the post title in German would be sufficient. Though that could be fun...publishing every sentence in a different language...hmmm...
Ah well, now I've given you the idea (and the tool) to do that, but maybe I'll do it anyway, one of these days "just because". *EWG*
Well, that's probably good enough for an opener. Feel free to ask any questions you want. I, of course, reserve the right to avoid answering any of them, but you never know. ;-)
