Survey Says...

As uncharacteristic of me as it seems, I've decided today will be "survey/quiz day". So here are some surveys/quizzes I saw that I liked:

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

You Are: 70% Dog, 30% Cat

You and dogs definitely have a lot in common.
You're both goofy, happy, and content with the small things in life.
However, you're definitely not as needy as the average dog. You need your down time occasionally.

Your Five Factor Personality Profile

Extroversion:

You have low extroversion.
You are quiet and reserved in most social situations.
A low key, laid back lifestyle is important to you.
You tend to bond slowly, over time, with one or two people.

Conscientiousness:

You have medium conscientiousness.
You're generally good at balancing work and play.
When you need to buckle down, you can usually get tasks done.
But you've been known to goof off when you know you can get away with it.

Agreeableness:

You have high agreeableness.
You are easy to get along with, and you value harmony highly.
Helpful and generous, you are willing to compromise with almost anyone.
You give people the benefit of the doubt and don't mind giving someone a second chance.

Neuroticism:

You have low neuroticism.
You are very emotionally stable and mentally together.
Only the greatest setbacks upset you, and you bounce back quickly.
Overall, you are typically calm and relaxed - making others feel secure.

Openness to experience:

Your openness to new experiences is medium.
You are generally broad minded when it come to new things.
But if something crosses a moral line, there's no way you'll approve of it.
You are suspicious of anything too wacky, though you do still consider creativity a virtue.

You Should Rule Saturn

Saturn is a mysterious planet that can rarely be seen with the naked eye.

You are perfect to rule Saturn because like its rings, you don't always follow the rules of nature.
And like Saturn, to really be able to understand you, someone delve beyond your appearance.

You are not an easy person to befriend. However, once you enter a friendship, you'll be a friend for life.
You think slowly but deeply. You only gain great understanding after a situation has past.

You Passed 8th Grade Math

Congratulations, you got 10/10 correct!

You Passed 8th Grade US History

Congratulations, you got 8/8 correct!

You Passed High School with an A+

You have the brains of a high school graduate... at least!

Your Love Style is Agape

You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner.
Unsurprisingly, your love style is the most rare.
You are willing to sacrfice your world for your sweetie.
Except it doesn't really feel like sacrifice to you.
For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.

"Is it Safe?"

Movie buffs will know right-a-way to what this post’s title is referencing. In case you’re not a movie buff, it’s a line from “Marathon Man”, starring Dustin Hoffman. If you’ve not seen it, go rent/buy it and watch it – just don’t watch it if you’ve got a dentist appointment anytime soon (you have been warned).

So today I had a root canal done. I’m still under the influence of Novocain as I compose this post, so it’s not bothering me too much (yet). But I’m sure it will still be better than not being able to chew. Doc didn’t prescribe anything, just said to take 800 mg of Ibuprofen every six hours for the next couple of days or so. However, they said if it starts to bother me more than what the Ibuprofen can handle, to give them a call. We’ll see, but I think the Ibuprofen will probably be sufficient (knock on wood).

Wanted: One Life

So I'm sitting here in at work, doing a whole lot of nothing. Why? Well, I did have to swing by to pick-up a few things for my site visit next week, but mostly because I have nothing better to do.

Pathetic.

One the bright side, I've got a much faster internet connection at the office than I do at home, so there is that. But then again, uness I'm downloading a file, I don't need it. And I've got no files to download (at least, not at the moment).

So why am I still here? Good question. I should go home and do nothing there - it'd be more comfortable. Actually, I should probably go for a walk - it's a nice day out and I could use some fresh air and excercise. Maybe I will do that. Later.

For now, I'm going to goof-off here in the office, doing nothing much but surf the web and complain that I don't have a life.

Outlook: Blurry

Well, I just got back from a consultation for laser eye surgery. Looks like I'm not a good candidate; I apparently have thin corneas. Guess I'll have to stick with glasses or contacts (but only if I want to be able to see).

Bummer.
